Weather continues to play havoc with our Events Calendar, so it is extra imperative that members check the website in case of late changes. Our scheduled run this Sunday to Café Sasanqua Glenorie is off due to heavy rain predicted. Not good for convertibles! Unfortunately too, I tried to reschedule, however they are closing for good next weekend. So do lookout for a replacement in the area down the track.
Due to the Hit Café North Narrabeen being such a ‘hit’ last time, this will be our new regular default café in the event of significant weather.
Last Sunday the rain held off and we had a very successful Unique Vehicle Show at RMYC, a big shout out thank you to all our club volunteers for contributing to the day, and congratulations to all the winners.
The Michael Andrews Trophy for 2021/2022 only has 6 weeks to go, before another winner is crowned and awarded not only the trophy for the best PMEA participation in the past year, but also a terrific dining prize. And don’t forget, your Committee has approved that for the first time this year and following years, prizes will also be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place.
This year it is neck and neck, so come along to earn your points and bring your classic to be awarded extra points. Those wonderful club volunteers who help out are also awarded extra points.

SAT 28 MAY ‘Coasting the Coast’
Old Berowra/Cowan Toll gates to Swansea, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM via the Old Pacific Highway. Open to all vintage vehicles over 25 years old. Cars, trucks and buses all welcome. Depart 9am sharp from the old Berowra toll area. Lunch available afterwards at Swansea Workers Club.

THIS SUNDAY 22nd May: Hit Café, 2 Malcolm St North Narrabeen (above Surf Club)
Late change to this venue due to predicted weather. Depart as usual Mona Vale Library carpark at 8am or go direct to venue. Plenty of tables all under cover.
Parking: Both Council pay and display (free with NBC sticker), one in Malcolm St by the beach, or new additional carpark just over the bridge off Ocean St. Or street parking nearby.
Sunday 5th June: Bella Vista Café, North Head
Formally North Fort Cafe, this popular scenic cafe is now called Bella Vista.
Wonderful district views towards South Head and the harbour. Large undercover deck and seating outside with umbrellas. Small amount of inside tables as well. The free limited parking at the rear.
Wednesday 15th June: Mid Month Brunch Run, Sandy Bear Cafe, Clontarf Marina
Fantastic café on waterfront with great atmosphere. Terrific views. Plenty of outdoor tables with shaded umbrellas. Situated adjacent to Clontarf Reserve.

Sunday 28th August: MG Run & BYO Picnic, Sous Le Soleil at Roseville Park
I am trying something new with our first PMEA BYO picnic featuring MG cars in Roseville Park, surrounding the historic 'The Firs" cottage.
PMEA have heaps of MGB's, and of course MGA's, Sprites and others, so get your driving gloves out, hat on, roof down and enjoy the drive with your fellow MG'ers!!
Hopefully the sun will be shining. In the event of rain, it will be postponed.
Of course as always, every other brand is welcome too, just don't get in the way of the MG parade on the way!!
